Description
Until 1950s the place was functional farmhouse where agricultural activities took place, mainly the growing of crops and the raising of livestock. Nowadays our two cats are scurrying all over the place and a herd of sheep is ruminating on the field in the summer. Today the farm with its courtyard, nature and lake offers a stimulating environment for your holiday. In addition, our home is open for you to live like a local.
We made two themes for your holiday. You can choose one of them or mix various topics of the themes.
Nature as a challenger
Experience wonders of nature by wandering, listening and smelling. Follow occurrences of the sky from darkness to brightness. Catch small fiches from the lake. Or just be in the moment, enjoy, relax and reload yourself.
Jobs of the host family as a challenger
If you long for participation, join us to do our current works. From spring to autumn, we are kept busy by garden and farming works. For example, the meditative berry picking is followed by tasting self-made juice. Let’s collect ingredients from nature and cook together. Snowfall challenges us to use shovels and tractor.

How to get to Nukula:
You can arrive by car to Nukula or by train, bus or airplane to Jyväskylä. Nukula is located 30 mins drive (30 km) from Jyväskylä. You can take a taxi or we can also arrange a transportation upon request. We can also arrange transportation for bigger groups from Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
